We cordially invite you to participate in the 22. Focus Meeting “Organic Nanotechnology – from switchable molecules to membranes”. The meeting takes place on March 27, 2015 from 02:00 to 05:15 pm at Kiel University.
The miniaturization of devices down to the nanoscale resulted in a dramatic increase in efficiency in many fields. Moreover, beyond efficiency improvements, a number of applications emerge which could not be realized before, particularly on the molecular level. The contributions presented in our focus meeting range from the application of molecular switches for medical imaging, flexible solar cells and liquid crystal windows to the preparation of membranes with controlled pore size.
Professor Dr. Rainer Herges from Kiel University kindly accepted to host the meeting. Professor Herges is speaker of the Collaborative Research Centre 677 “Function by Switching”.
The meeting will be organized in the Max Eyth Lecture Hall (Max-Eyth-Str. 6) on campus of Kiel University. After the event we will offer a guided tour through Otto Diels Institute for Organic Chemistry.
After the meeting, NINa’s first meeting of members will take place. Of course, everyone interested in becoming a member is most welcome, too.
