Use of personal data

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Survey with your cooperation

We collect and store your personal data in connection with the use of this website if you provide it to us by yourself. We use such personal data without separate consent exclusively in order to be able to process your respective request (Art. 6 para. 1 b) – f) DSGVO). It is your free decision whether you provide us with your data for the aforementioned purposes. Insofar as the nature of your request allows it, you can also appear to us anonymously or using a pseudonym. For the use of your personal data for other purposes (in particular for advertising purposes), we will always obtain your express consent (Art. 6 para. 1 a) DSGVO).

1. Participation at events
If you register for events via the contact form, we will use your personal data as follows:
Personal data will be collected and stored for processing. Depending on the individual case, this includes the following personal data in particular:
Title
First and last name
Company
E-mail
Complete address as billing address (only for events with costs)
This personal data will be stored solely for the purpose of organising and conducting the event as well as analysing the response to the event. Particular uses are billing purposes, creating name badges and lists of participants, and sending further information relating to the event by e-mail. If we offer the event in question in cooperation with third parties, we may also pass on the data entered in the registration form to our designated cooperation partners for the aforementioned purposes. If the event is offered for a fee, you must enter your full address as the billing address in the registration form. This address will be used by us or our cooperation partners during the event exclusively for the purpose of sending the invoice.
If you have separately consented to this, we will include your details provided in the registration form in a list of participants which will be made available to the other participants.
If you cancel your registration for the event by sending an e-mail to info@nina-sh.de, the personal data provided will be used solely for the purpose of cancelling your registration for the event.

2. Newsletter
The newsletter provides information about news, events and projects in the field of nanotechnology and from the Norddeutsche Initiative Nanotechnologie Schleswig-Holstein e.V.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we will use your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) a) DSGVO as follows:
When you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address will be stored. After registering for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address you provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you have requested the newsletter to be sent. If you confirm the registration, the newsletter will be sent permanently to your e-mail address. If, on the other hand, you do not confirm the registration, we will not send you our newsletter.

In order to document the submission of your declaration of consent, we also store the respective time of registration and confirmation of participation in the newsletter distribution list. In addition, we record the time at which a newsletter was sent to you.
If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you can object to receiving the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe accordingly. To do so, click on the link contained in each newsletter. You will then be guided through the unsubscribe process. Alternatively, you can also send us your objection to receiving the newsletter by e-mail to info@nina-sh.de.

Survey without your participation
When you visit our website, the following personal data is processed without your involvement.
Use of web analytics cookies
We use web analytics services for our website. Web analytics services use text files that are stored on your terminal device with which you access the website and that enable an analysis of your use of the website (“cookies”). The data collected in this way is used exclusively by NINa SH e.V. to learn about user behaviour and to optimise the website for use by the user. No personal processing takes place in this context. In particular, the data protection settings are selected in such a way that IP addresses are anonymised.

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using contacts Google servers. In doing so, Google learns that our website was accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used for the uniform and appealing presentation of our online content. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.

Duration of the storage of your data

The data you provide us with will only be stored by us for as long as is necessary to fulfil the respective purpose for which you have provided us with your data or to comply with legal requirements.

Disclosure of data to third parties

NINa SH e.V. only transfers your personal data to third parties if this is intended for the implementation of events with cooperation partners as described above (Art. 6 para. 1 a) DGSVO), a vicarious agent requires this data for the provision of the website or personalised services offered via it, e.g. in the context of the provision of IT services (Art. 6 para. 1 f) DSGVO).
NINa SH e.V. requires that these third parties process your personal data exclusively in accordance with our specifications and in compliance with this data protection declaration and the applicable data protection law.
We also reserve the right to disclose your personal data if we are legally obliged to do so or if we are required to do so by public authorities or law enforcement agencies.

Contact, information, revocation, blocking, restriction, deletion, transferability

You may at any time and free of charge object to the use of your personal data for the future (Art. 21 DSGVO), request partial or complete deletion (Art. 17 DSGVO), restriction of processing or blocking (Art. 18 DSGVO) or request information (Art. 15 DSGVO) about the data we have stored about you or its correction (Art. 16 DSGVO). In addition, you have the option of receiving the personal data concerning you in a structured, common and machine-readable format (Art. 20 DSGVO). Data processing security

We protect your personal data according to the state of the art with appropriate technical and organisational measures.
Data required for internal administrative purposes, in particular for commercial purposes and for the defence of legal claims, will only be deleted after the corresponding purpose has ceased to exist, but will be blocked for all other purposes until then.
