Especially green hydrogen as an energy carrier is seen as a great hope for the energy transition. At our event &#8222;Hydrogen as an energy carrier &#8211; what can nanotechnology and new materials contribute?&#8220; on May 12, 2022, we would like to invite you to inform yourself about the topic of &#8222;hydrogen energy&#8220; from the technological-scientific and location-political perspective of Northern Germany and to discuss it together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Schleswig-Holstein offers very good conditions for the production, distribution and use of green hydrogen. This means that the north of Germany can play a pioneering role on a national and even European scale. However, there are major technological challenges associated with hydrogen technology. Nanotechnology and new materials in particular can provide solutions to these technological challenges. Without nanotechnology and new materials, the energy transition will not be possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the scientific part of the event in the morning, the possibilities and innovation potential in the use of nanotechnology and new materials in hydrogen technology will first be presented. In the afternoon, the opportunities for northern Germany in terms of location and economic policy will then be highlighted.
