Intelligente Materialien mit integrierten Funktionalit\u00e4ten werden f\u00fcr die Weiterentwicklung bestehender Technologie ben\u00f6tigt, etwa um Ger\u00e4te effizienter, autonomer, schaltbar, biokompatibel oder antibakteriell zu gestalten.
\nAuch in neuen Sensoren kommen die Materialien zum Einsatz, um eine deutlich verbesserte Sensitivit\u00e4t zu erreichen.
\nSolche intelligenten Materialien haben typischerweise komplexe interne Strukturen: Nanokomposite verschiedener Materialklassen wie Multiferroika, nanostrukturierte oder hierachische Strukturen, bioinspirierte Materialien und funktionale Elemente in der Gr\u00f6\u00dfenordnung von einzelnen Molek\u00fclen bis zu makroskopischen Strukturen.<\/p>\n
